The Association of Band Traders was established to provide customers with a reliable source of suppliers for products and services relating to the music industry.  Over 30 years later, the Association continues to maintain this achievement and is proud of its growth and development during this period.

Customers electing to use any of the Association member-organisations for their music-related requirements can be safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with a group of professional businesses who pride themselves on offering high standards of customer service.  Membership to the Association is not automatic and indeed, before becoming a member, applicants are closely assessed to ensure they will offer a true representation of the Association's ethos.  This stringent approach helps to maintain the credibility of the Association upon which customers can then rely.

In addition to providing the marketplace with this valuable resource, the Association of Band Traders is also heavily involved in supporting special projects and charities.  More information about recent activities can be found in the Charity Work section of this website.

This year's focus is on the theme of Music and Youth, so if you have a charitable project you would like the Association to consider, please contact Clair Tomalin, Secretary of the Association, with your ideas.

The familiar faces of our members can always be seen at the various tradeshows the Association manages, such as The British Open Brass Band Championships and The Butlins Mineworkers' Brass Band Festival.  But don't forget, they can also be seen exhibiting at other contests and events throughout the year including the National Finals in Harrogate and London, The English National, The Europeans and the many Regional Qualifying contests, to name but a few.  By supporting our exhibitors at the tradeshows, you are helping to protect their future participation and ensure your music-related requirements will always be able to be met by a reputable and reliable organisation.
